Note: This was written in 2018 and I'm still trying to decide if I want Alan to reply or not.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? Those would be horror movies right?" Alan asked as soon as his roommate finished talking. Sonya had mentioned there was going to be a Vincent Price double feature at the Embassy on Halloween and suggested that he should treat his girlfriend to them that night. He wasn't sure. While he appreciated a good horror movie, he was pretty sure Mary Anne would not.

"First off, just because Vincent Price is in a movie doesn't necessarily mean it's a horror movie," Sonya said sourly as if Alan should have known that. "Remind me to have us watch Laura sometime soon. Anyway, while I'm sure she wouldn't like a slasher flick or whatever is passing for a horror movie nowadays, I think she might like what the Embassy will be showing. At least you'll get some cuddle time."

“I can’t exactly show Mr. Spier that I’m worthy of dating his daughter if I’m off at Jacqui’s getting wasted or off pulling pranks with Cary.”

“That’s true,” Dorianne said. “It’s totally sweet that you want Mary Anne’s father to be okay with you two dating, but it’s Mary Anne choice to date you, not her father’s.”

“I know that Dori,” Alan said. “But have you ever gotten one of Mr. Spier’s disapproving looks? Those things are intense.”

“They are pretty intimidating,” Pete said. “Granted it wasn’t directed at me, but the second hand shame I felt was real.”
